SSC Junior Engineer Exam Pattern | SSC JE Syllabus | SSC JEN Eligibility & Selection Process


Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conduct every year Combined All India Open Examination for the post of Junior Engineer (JE) in various disciplines like ( Civil / Electrical / Mechanical ) Engineering Stream. Candidates who have applied against this job and preparing for written test may go through the Selection Procedure and exam pattern of this which have been described below...


Selection Procedure : Selection of the candidates for this post will be made on the basis of performance in written test and Interview. Written test consist Two Papers; Paper-I will be objective type of 200 Marks and Paper-II will be conventional Type of 300 Marks. Qualified candidates in the test will be called for interview which will be of 100 Marks.

Written Test (Objective Type) Paper-I (Duration : 2 Hours)

Note : Candidates are required to attempt only one part of paper-I and paper-II i.e. Candidates should attempt Part-A, or Part-B or Part-C, because all the parts are for different disciplines. There are negating marking in Paper-I, so Candidates should answer the questions carefully.

Those candidates who qualify in the above test will be called for personality Test (Interview) which will be of 100 Marks. 

Candidates who belong to SC / ST Category will be reimbursed Traveling fare for appearing in the interview.
